"A Hotel in Paris"

The colors and textures of the paintings seemed to strangely complement the hues of the grim, yet powerful, scene before her on the floor. Contemplating the pieces on the wall gave Minola a reprieve from the ghastly outline on the floor. Her hands clenched as she began to shake.

Nothing appeared to have been disturbed in the quiet, serene room. The curtains were open, and the sun filtered through to cast a warm dappled glow over the body. Minola shuddered.

A little further into the garden Minola pointed out the magnificent bronze ‘Thinker’. The poignant face bent in meditation. Each muscle strained and visible, every sinew perfectly defined. A masterpiece…They walked a bit more in the peaceful gardens, and again Minola would point out a piece here and there, the sculptures were scattered around, it was like looking for lost treasures. But once found, oh, what an incredible joy of discovery.

“Damn you Minola…if I couldn’t afford it, I wouldn’t have bought it…” He barked.
“Why Peter?”
“Why what?” He demanded.
“Why did you buy it?” She asked gently.
“I bought it because it reminded me of you. I bought it because I wanted you to wear something I gave you. I bought it because every time you wear it, there will be a part of me on your body.”

"An entertaining police procedural romance…the mystery investigation is fun as it is built around the concept that “Cherchez l’Euro supersedes “Cherchez la Femme”
in the modern world…a fun read."
--Mystery Gazzette

"Engaging and satisfying
murder mystery…"
